Eruption of highly fluid carbonatite lava at Oldoinyo Lengai Volcano, Tanzania, 2006. Oldoinyo Lengai is the only volcano at which eruption of carbonatite lavas has been documented in historical times. This low-temperature lava looks silvery under daylight but incandescence can be observed at night. (Martin Rietze - www.mrietze.de)
