VPOW is a communal web project run by a number of unpaid volunteer editors with a background in volcanology or volcano photography. The editors have sole responsibility for image selection. Many of these have individual websites which are however independent of VPOW.

Image Submissions:
VPOW is a NON-COMMERCIAL site. Copyright remains fully with the picture author and the images will only be used on VPOW (and its mirror sites in other languages).
Images should be submitted by email only using "VPOW Submission" in the subject line. Please only submit images for which you are the picture author and copyright holder (please submit a declaration to this effect with your image(s)). Images should be high quality JPEGs with 900 (horizontal) x 600 (vertical) pixels. Images with different aspect ratios will be considered but 3:2 aspect ratio images are generally preferred.
Please only 3 images per submission.
Authors should include a brief explanation of the subject. The VPOW editors reserve the right to make changes to the text if necessary.
Given that images may attract interest from third parties, authors should consider providing a website link or email address for enquiries, since VPOW will not act as a sales intermediary. The contact info will be posted with the image. VPOW can not pay for images, neither does it charge for displaying images or expect commission from sales.

Sales Enquiries:
VPOW is a NON-COMMERCIAL site. Please contact the picture authors directly (if these have provided contact details with their images) if you wish to obtain rights to the use of any of the images. VPOW takes no responsibility for negotiations or disputes between photo authors and third parties.
Copyright Violations:
The copyright for all images posted on VPOW remains entirely with the picture author. All images are posted in good faith, i.e. under the fair assumption that the picture author and the person who has provided the image are the same. If you consider that somebody has violated your copyright by posting an image that is not their own, please contact VPOW immediately using "VPOW violation report" in the subject line of your email.
